Merry Christmas Mate! Christmas is quite different down under, first of all its HOT! Yesterday I saw two kids walking around in Santa Costumes only the coat was short sleeves and the pants were shorts! There are not as many Christmas trees or decorations, and several places are still open for business. Christmas seems to be more like a 4th of July celebrations except Santa still comes and Children are still very excited about their gifts! We ate Christmas Lunch at a local restaurant and again it was delicious! I hope everyone is having a very Merry Christmas and that you are all having a great time with family and friends!

What’s next? Scuba diving and Sky diving!

Palm Cove, Queensland is a remote resort area where we are enjoying the relaxing lifestyle of the beach. We are staying in a three bedroom condo just off the beach with beautiful tree top views. We ate dinner last night at a Greek restaurant called El Greko. It was definitely one of the best meals of my life! Everything was soooooooo good. Almost too good! We all ate our full and then fell right to sleep.

Kangaroo Island adventure… We were expecting to see all kinds of native wildlife and the dream came true. Our first animal to spot was a Kangaroo on the side of the road… the kangaroo is much like the deer. Dangerous road hazards! We drove all the way to Admirals Rock which was covered in seals, second animal to spot! We drove over then to Remarkable rocks…from a distance the formation of the rocks looks like a camel but when you get close enough to them, they are more so just granite rocks with really pretty curves and arches. You were allowed to clime on the rocks and so we did until brad jumped down and gave himself a good twistie! (Australian for sprain, at least that’s what we called it.) We later found out that a twistie was actually their form of cheetoh’s. After a really good picnic lunch we ventured to see Koala’s! And they are adorable, we were all so excited to finally see one up close and personal in the wild! That night we attempted to see penguins, but we were only allowed to use a red light which made it difficult to see them. We stayed over night in Kangaroo Island and headed out the next morning for more adventure seeking. We started at seal bay where the sea lions were lounging all over the beautiful white sand. They are pretty funny to watch, the males are very large and fight/play with the other males for fun. Most of the moms were nursing their young and just enjoying the sun’s rays!
Sandboarding came next on our adventure tour and it was a lot of fun. The fun however did not come without hard work. Picture a huge hill covered in sand and the only way to get to the top is to clime. By the time you get to top your legs are so tired that you have to take a break before you go down the hill. Margaret stayed down and video taped all of us cruising down the hill. When the footage is available I will post it.
Our tour ended back at the wildlife zoo where we could actually pet the Koalas and Kangaroos… I made a good friend with a kangaroo and he even gave me a hug and kiss before I left! HaHa. He really liked his belly scratched and apparently I was really good at it. From here we flew back to Adelaide and spent our final night there.

We arrived in Adelaide, SA and we are staying in some upscale modern apartments in the middle of the city. Our taxi cab driver and others referred to Adelaide as the sister city of Austin, Texas. Very cool! We took the tram down to the beach where we ate delicious Italian food. It was very impressive! We followed dinner with some Australian ice cream and headed back to the hotel for our first nights rest. Much needed after losing a whole day traveling.

Well we are on our final flight… 3 of 3; leg one was from Dallas to LA, leg two LA to Sydney and the Final leg Sydney to Adelaide. We have started off strong! All seven of us cruising through the airports in true Webb style… matching yellow shirts… like ducks in a row. I am sure you can get the picture! We started our journey on Friday December 19, 2008 and now on Sunday December 21, 2008 we are in Australia. The flight was not all that bad… comfy seats and really cool personal movie, game, music and information system on the seat back in front of you! I watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Mamma Mia and Ghost Town. Definitely the coolest thing I have ever seen on an air plane. We ate breakfast Aussi Airport style this morning at Hungry Jack’s (aka Burger King, same logo and everything!) Russell ended up with 18 pancakes instead of the 6 he ordered, Apparently he missed the fact that there was three per order, the breakfast burrito’s had some kind of barbeque sauce on them and the eggs were fried instead of scrambled. I am sure more adventure awaits us! Well we are taking off now and I gotta go… Pancakes... all 18 of them!
Finally arrived in Australia!

Thanksgiving... Finally

Well, I finally have a moment to tell you about our Thanksgiving!

The whole family was there! I was so excited, and we all got to stay for several days! We kicked off the fun Tuesday night when we all arrived! Mom made her now famous Chicken and Dumplings and we were stuffed. Brad opened an early Christmas gift from Chris for us all to play! Mario Kart for Wii... We stayed up way to late speeding around mushroom gorge and moo moo meadows, but it was worth it!

Wednesday, Mom made appointments for Lane and I to get massages while Dad and Brad golfed and Chris and Alex did some last minute shopping for our Thanksgiving Christmas! Lane and I both decided that Cynthia gave us one of the best massages ever and felt so relaxed after! We all went to visit Chris's church and Youth Group that he has been volunteering for! It was a great service and had some really good worship...Then it was back home for some more Wii!

Turkey Day/ Christmas morning was next! Brad and I will be in Australia with his family over Christmas so we celebrated with my family early! Brad and I got some really nice things, most of mine were for the house and clothes and Brad received clothes, Cowboys parafanella, and really cool shoes! We gave Alex a sushi and sake set, Lane got a coach cluth and bracelet and Chris got a scarf and the full Chronicles of Narnia book collection. Mom and Dad got a free stay here in McKinney and dinner for two at Ricks! What more could they ask for? HaHa, I love family gift time... Although its not the reason for the season by any means, its still a fun tradition!

Mom made a heck of a Thanksgiving meal and completely out did herself! She made all of our favorites that we grew up with, so delicious! Lane made a new and special dessert that will most likely become a tradition! Then we took family pictures as seen above!

Typical!

We all went shopping on Black Friday and it was a little crazy! But after seeing Four Christmases and eating at Cheesecake Factory we were more than pleased! It was a great trip and we all had so much fun hanging out and eating lots of food!

Over 1,500 Lives!!!

It is official! Within just 9 months of opperations 25 has changed the lives of over 1,500 people! The 25 team is absolutely floored by the way God has used this company. A few things you might need to know about 25; 25 is not just a shirt it is a life changed! Since 25 opened in February (2/5/08) God has blessed the company with resources galore. We got a spot on a Radio Talk show out of Arizona that brought loads of orders in. We were hooked up with Horizon camps, thanks to Jerry, and have made huge contacts through that. We currently sell our shirts in a coffee shop called Monks out in Abiliene. Our college reps have been working hard to bring in big orders for us as well. Lil'25 will be in store shortly and all this has been done through people God has placed in our path. When we started we knew God was going to do something big, Real BIG, and that was 1,500 lives ago! He is not finished and neither are we! Who has been affected? Rwanda, Africa; every shirt sold gave a person clean water for life, Central/South America; every shirt sold provided the casting for a child born with club foot, a child destined to never walk was healed, India; every shirt provided a family a chicken and a rooster to eat, raise and sell, Galveston, Texas; every shirt is sending building supplies, clothing or toiletries to the victims of Hurricane IKE. Go save a life, buy a shirt!

Life is...

Sweet, This past October 24, 2008 my older brother married his beautiful wife Lane. The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous, the weather could not have been more perfect! The sunset beautifully behind the couple as they vowed their love to each other. I watched my brother's face as he smiled from ear to ear at his new bride, and I could barely hold back my tears. I love you Alex and Lane Jacobsen!

Me and the new Sista!
The beautiful couple!

Reunions, Baylor Homecoming was so much fun this year! Brad and I stayed with his Sister and her husband, Emily and Kolby, for the weekend. We brought Nala (75lbs.) and Bentley(50lbs.) along for the trip and it definitely made things interesting. The Arita's stayed with us too and they brought their dog Judge(45lbs or so). So all together there were 4 medium to large breed dogs in a 900 sq.ft. apart... Semi disasterous! Nothing was damaged and we had a great time visiting wiht friends and family but the dogs were happy to get back to thier own backyard! I think my favorite parts of the weeked was the awesome Baylor game where we barely lost to Missouri and the yummy caramel chocolate apples that we made late saturday night!
So Good!!!

Busy, Brad and I have been working long hours and long weeks for the last few weeks and it has definitely shown in my workout routine... which has actually just been non-existant. I have got to get back into it... 25Cloth has been doing very well for its first year. And has been changing lives all over the world. The youth have been getting involved too, which is always fun. I have been working with our event cordinator/sales & marketing director at Rick's for about a month now and I am really enjoying the change of pace. Brad has a new business that he is partnering in that will be up in running in January, and we are very excited about it as well.

Victorious, Baylor beat A&M, which is awesome for Baylor fans everywhere, then again any win is great/amazing! Sic 'em Bears! I have been playing indoor soccer on a co-ed team and this last week I scored my first goal, but it wasn't just any goal, it was the game tying goal. We had been down the whole game and within the last minute and a half, I scored!! Woo Hoo! What a rush! Brad is still playing basketball with his adult team and loves every minute of it!

A Blessing, Brad and I have been blessed with great educations, financial stability, and stable jobs. This past year we were introduced to a lady named Ana and her kids. Ana is the definition of a servant, possibly a modern day Mother Teressa, here in McKinney, TX. Ana saw a need and met it with a solution. Ana, her two girls and husband live in a small apartment complex in McKinney where many day laborers and other low income families live. When Ana moved in she had two beautiful girls Maria Helena and Isabella. Now Ana has forty kids that she takes in after school from 5-7. Ana provides a safe place for the kids to grow and learn and to really just be kids. She helps each everyone of them with their homework, teaching them in spanish and in english. She also holds ESL classes for their parents and leads a Bible Study once a week. Brad and I feel so blessed to know Ana and her kids, we love getting to hang out with them in the afternoons/evenings after we get off work. This year we are helping Ana throw a Christmas party for the kids. With the help of many others, each child is going to get to experience Christmas and the gifts that it brings! Through Ana's efforts these kids are getting a great education, their parents are learning English and getting better jobs, and their finances are becoming more stable. Ana works so hard everyday and she never tires. She will tell you, with tears in her eyes, that the greatest reward is for one child to learn. Ana is a blessing to everyone she meets! We love her so much!

interesting....

I have been at a loss for interesting news/words for my blog...I have been carrying my camera around in my purse and still nothing has happened. I had a pretty busy week though. Monday night was girls night where I laughed harder than I had in a while! I love my SSC girls. Tuesday night Brad had a basketball game, always fun to watch him play, but the kid has a bum knee and it has been swollen ever since. Wednesday night was church when I started to feel a little cold come on. Thursday night we went to dinner at Uncle Julio's with Brad's parents, in celebration of our scuba certification. By Thursday night I had also lost my voice and it really hurt to talk. I worked a double on Friday, which not only was I sick the whole day I also missed my future sister in law's bachelorette party, Sorry Lane. Couldn't sleep Friday night too much coughing and drainage. Saturday I tried to sleep in but my sweet husband wanted muffins for breakfast so of course I made them. Went to work Saturday night and missed Dave's B-day party... Didn't sleep last night more sick coughing and crap. Slept the day away today... and I am finally starting to feel better...

All this to say I told you so... I have nothing interesting to share...

Sorry for the time you wasted reading this!

What's new with you?

As I was talking to my BFF Caylin this afternoon we asked each other this question.... And both of us answered the same, NOTHING!!! Isn't it a weird thought? Is there really nothing new with me? I mean everyday is a new day and normally include a new experience. Like today at work I waited on several new people... I got a new haircut... I ate a new bag of popcorn... I am writing a new post...so on and so on... Anyways, I think next time I ask this question or get asked this question that I will answer literally! On the other hand I get sad when I have to ask this question becuase that means I haven't spent enough time with whoever I am talking to. Like my roommates or besties.

Anyhoos... What's new with you? Literally!

Plastic, Plastic and more Plastic

That's the diagnosis! After Bentley's exploratory surgery this afternoon, the doctor found a good bit of plastic sitting in his belly. Now, Brad and I do not claim to be expert parents, but we do keep a close eye on our dogs and we pretty much know exactly what, when, where, and how they have gotten into something. So we were both a little surprised to hear that this is what the doctor found. Well, we have done some deductive reasoning and we think that the plastic came from the backyard. This is really the only time that the dogs are "unsupervised." So the culprit of Bentley's belly ache is believed to be a plastic flower pot. The easiest way to prove our hypothesis would be to count the flower pots and see if there is one missing... not so much the case for us. When we moved in the previous owners had all types of flower pots in the backyard. Some were being used as barriers, so their dog couldn't go under the fence, some actually have flowers in them, one is actually a frying pan substituted as a flower pot and others are somewhat unidentifiable! So needless to say, we have no idea if one is missing! But seeing that they are the highest abundance of plastic in our backyard, the percentage is very high that the flower pot is what Bentley ate! Crazy! Anyways, the next thing on our list is a new fence and with that the disposal of unwanted flower pots.

Thanks for all the sweet comments and puppy prayers! Bentley will get to come home tomorrow as long as he doesn't have any complications tonight from his surgery earlier today!

Surgery... ;(

Well, the doctor called and surgery it is... Poor Bentley! He will go in this afternoon and figure out why my puppy is so sick. I should have an update later this afternoon. The doctor did say that Bentley was as happy as ever...Still jumping, licking and giving big hugs to anyone who will let him. This made me smile!

Puppy Prayers are more than welcome! God cares about the things that we care about, and so for Brad and I's sake we are praying that Bentley will be back at our home ASAP! We love him so much!

Nala just let me know that she is really ready for Bentley to come home too. She loves her brother very much! She promises that the next time she gets to hang out with her cousin Maya, she will be super sweet and will love to play!

Mom, where did my brother go?

Yesterday morning I had to take Bentley back to the vet. He has not been able to keep anything down since Wednesday. Friday (the first vet visit) the doc told me that if he throws up one more time that he has to come back for some xray type test. No, big deal, but he was running a fever and throwing up, so the vet said it is most likely bacterial. Nothing, an antibiotic can't fix. Well, sure enough Bentley couldn't hold his dinner down and Yesterday it was back to the vet. The doc came in, I told him what happened and he said he needed to keep my baby for the weekend. WHAT! WHY! whats wrong? How much is that going to cost? As it turns out the reason he needed to keep Bentley there was because he couldn't run the test until today. I never thought I would be saying this but as I walked out of the vet, I started to cry. I was really sad that he had to stay there all weekend and I just felt like I was abandoning him. I am an animal lover, always have been. But Bentley and Nala aren't just dogs to me, they are our family! Brad laughs at me when I mention them as family, but I know he loves them a lot so I don't mind too much! Anyways, Now I feel like Nala keeps looking at me and asking where her brother went. Well, the doc is supposed to call tomorrow and let me know what he found... such as a foriegn object (toys, wood, trash, anything thats clearly not supposed to be digested)or if it is just the bacterial infection. I am really hoping for the infection... foreign object = surgery = $200. I am ready to go get Bentley and bring him home, its just not the same around here without him!
This is right after we got Nala, almost 2 years ago... Sweet Bentley loves his little, yet way bigger, Sister!

I'm Yours, Lucky to be in love with my best friend!

A couple of nights ago Brad bought a new cd. I scolded him at first saying we didn't have money for these kinds of purchases, like any good wife on a budget would do. Determined not to like the CD, He told me to just listen and so I did. I loved it! And here comes the mushy lovey stuff, Brad told me that this was his new song for me. I smiled and grabbed his hand, and just loved listening to the sweet lyrics of the song. When it was over my heart was filled with more and more love for my sweet husband! The next song came on and it was a new one to both of us. As we sat there holding hands, the words spoke right to our hearts. The chorus of the song says "Lucky to be in love with my best friend, Lucky to have been where I have been, Lucky to be coming home again..." We were smiling from ear to ear and it was just one of those moments that you wish you could pause and replay whenever you want! Now everytime we get in the car together we put the CD on and sing along to our two new songs! Thanks Jason Mraz, we love your new CD! I added the songs to my playlist so you can sing along!

One Year of Happiness is worth celebrating!

We did it! We made it a whole year! Haha! Brad and I celebrated our first year of marriage in true Texas style, well kind of! We spent Sunday night and Monday day at the Gaylord Texan. Wooooo! It was beautiful and so much fun! We walked the whole place when we got there and just loved it! Then we got all fancy for our dinner at Ama Lur, we were served a cross of Mexican, Sea, and Texas style food. I had Sea Bass and Brad had steak, it was delicious! We headed back to the room where champagne was waiting and... We woke up the next morning to breakfast in bed and watched some TV before we started our day! Grapevine Mills was top on our list with a day full of shopping. We finished our day in true luxury with our couples massage back at the Gaylord. We drove back home and made our way to dinner at Rick's. We were all dressed up and our wedding cake top from a year ago was in hand, but unfortunately Brad was sick. He tried so hard to ignore the pain he was feeling but it was too much. So instead of Rick's I had a Quiznos salad and instead of a Romantic dinner, I nursed my sick baby back to health. High Point of the evening was that we were together and happy! I decided to go ahead and cut into our cake and it was Perfect! Just like I had remembered! Thanks for keeping it fresh in your freezer Margaret! You can finally have your tupperware back! And thanks to all our friends and family that have helped make our first year together so wonderful! Here are a few pics from the weekend! The Gaylord Texan

That Good Ole Baylor Line

Ehhhhhhhhhhhh..... Sic 'Em Bears! Go get 'em Russell! Tomorrow is the day that Russell will embark on his first year of Baylor! We are all so Proud! Love ya Russ!

My new favorite store!!!

So today after work I took a little walk around the square in downtown McKinney. As I made my way I noticed this little shop called Stonewood Creations. It had a bunch of Texas/Rustic looking stuff in the door/window way and so I decided to go in. I loved what I found... I knew it was a good little place when I saw this little BU magnet! Anyone who has ever tried to buy Baylor paraphernalia knows that it is close to impossible unless you are at the Baylor bookstore! So I am sure you can imagine my excitement to find something in McKinney. The owner does all his own work and does a good job too. After getting to know him I realized his connection to Baylor was actually because he grew up in Waco, when Baylor was a football power house. I told him Brad and I's Baylor blood lines as he led me over to another Baylor original. It was an iron yard post with a BU on top completed with the Baylor Bear. Needless to say I fell in love and it is now standing proud in my front yard! Tom (shop owner) said he does a lot of custom orders, so even if you don't share my love for Baylor I think you will like this little rustic, McKinney, Texas shop! They don't have a website, keeps it authentic, so you will just have to come see for yourself! While your there come see me for lunch at Ricks!

Just need to brag for a minute!

I received a sweet surprise last night when my husband walked in the door. What did he have? Flowers and a card! I felt so special and loved! The card was silly and sweet, just like my wonderful husband! The flowers are beautiful and sitting in our kitchen, they really brighten up the place! Fresh flowers may be come a necessity, haha! That's all really, I just needed to brag on my main man! Thank you baby! I love you so much!!!

Fine!!!!!

Fine, I will write a new post.... Haha! I realize its been a month or so since my last post and I deeply apologize... This is a post of many different topics including: Moving, Mexico, Work, So you think you can dance and my favorite Olympics...

Moving:

We did it! We moved into our new home and it is all ours! so nice! We got to spend a total of 10 hours in the house before Brad left for 8 days... You heard me right 10 hours and then 8 days! Crazy I know! Wow, was it a test for me! Boxes were everywhere and my husband was nowhere near. But, Lord Jesus my Savior, saved me from doing it all alone. I had lots of help from family and friends! The list includes: Margaret and Brian (in laws), Kolby and Emily (sis in law and hubby), Vince and Autumn Walsh (good friends and great day laborers!), Cameron Culver, Jeff Steinbaugh, and Matt Poe (the Movers/Heavy lifters), Rachel Ballard (Master kitchen packer and decorator extrodaniar, sp?), Brittney Poe and Quinn (maker of all things crafty, shopping partner, and the little entertainer, Q dogg), Dani Dillard, Caylin Whitten, and Courtney Scott (great company and friends on my last night home alone)! With all this help I was able to get most of the house put together before Brad got home! Seeing his face when he walked in the door was priceless and his sweet praises were worth the hard work! Come over and see us!

Mexico:

Tijuana, Mexico stole my husbands heart for eight days! The conditioners were rough and the sights heart breaking but the way he got to serve the people and the Lord as he was there was inspirational. While he was there he built a house and ministered to Kids during VBS. His spirit was full of joy and passion when I picked him up from the airport! I was so glad to have him home!!!

Work:

Work is going well. I am ready for fall to come because we are much busier! Thats really all!

So you Think you can Dance:

Brad and I's reality TV show... like some of you, I was shocked that Brad watched it with me... but he was completely mesmorized by the Hip Hoppers and everyone's ability to dance. His Favorite from the beginning won, Joshua, and that made the show all the more great! We also watch American Gladiators and Run's House! Love it!

Olympics:

I can still remember the day in fifth grade when I got to play the olympic song on my recorder over the loud speaker. It was the mark that our field day/olympics had begun. Some events included; egg in the spoon race, arm wrestling (i was really good because I was a gymnast and really strong), cracker whistle contest, 100m dash (also really good at) and several others... anyways, I get super excited every four years when the olympics come around and great memories come back to me from that faithful field day. I start dreaming olympic dreams in my sleep... so far I have swam against Michael Phelps, competed in the all around in gymnastics where I fell off the beam and woke myself up, and have been best friends with the USA mens B-Ball team. I am not really sure whats next but I am feeling a track medal coming on, probably the 4x4. Needless to say I am obsessed. I have stayed up late and recorded as much as my DVR will allow. There is currently an American Flag waving in my living room... I use it during the medal ceremonies and the National Anthem is on repeat in my head. These are definitely my favorite two weeks every four years! Its only 2 if you count the winter games!!! Woo Hoo! USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA!!!!!!!! Tell me your not chanting!

Mortgage here we come!

It is OFFICIAL! We have signed the contract... we are first time ever home owners! WOO HOO! There were days when I didn't think it was possible... But God knew... don't you just love his Faithfulness!?! We do! Anyhoos, here are some pictures!

Few updates we will make are... flooring, painting, and a deck outside! Over time of course, as the money allows us too! I am looking forward to getting decorative techniques from Brittney and Dani (who just started blogging, check out her and Dave's cute blog!) My Mom and Mom in law will help too I am sure! Please! Needless to say we are really excited and can't wait to move in!

Snoring...

It is 3:11am and I am sleepless in McKinney. My husband is finally home and is snoring the night away, literally. The poor guy has been a little sick himself, and unfortunately it brings the snores out of him. He is seriously snoring in like 18 different languages, if snoring were considered a language that is. Russian, German, really any slavic language that requires a good "HHHAAAAGGGG" at the beginning of it. He also has that African clicking language down pat, which he does hope to go to Africa soon so that one should come in handy. He does a good French snore too, since the French are known to be so romantic, I consider this snore, the one of very heavy breathing, to be sweet nothings in my ear, **insert sarcasm** so sweet. There are more I am just too tired to remember them all. However, I think I could be a huge asset to the CIA one day... I know how to translate snoring. I can see it now, a new gang of snore artist are destroying cities everywhere and they must be stopped. "Quick, get that Remy Webb girl on the phone, she can crack this code!"

Lucky for me Brad hardly ever keeps me awake, and I am very thankful for that! Get well soon, Babe, get well soon.

Sick Sick Sick... The doctor thinks it is a strep throat rash.... never heard of it... the strep test came back negative, but he gave me amoxicillan anyways. If it really isn't strep than, its viral and it will just have to run its course. Not fun... now I have to miss work tonight and tomorrow. back to rest, three cheers for Brad though he is home tomorrow!

Monday 6/23/08

Sunday 6/22/08

What a day... I woke up this morning with a strange rash on my arms and legs... I went to the clinic and they said its a mild dermititis. But when I got home from the doctor, I just wasn't feeling good... my whole body was sore and achey and I was really tired...I took a good nap and then went to hang out with the Mom in law! She also needed some shoes and some clothes for her trip... we had a lot of fun... I got her all dressed up! We met Brian (dad in law) for dinner after his round of golf at BJ's. Yummy... Unfortunately I can't say that I am feeling much better at this point... time for bed!

Saturday 6/21/08

Brad's gone again... High school youth camp this time, last week was middle school. Mom left to so I am all alone again... I have work today though, So I will be pretty busy. It was nice to see Brad for atleast one night... I think it was a total of 16 hours. And he is sick...poor guy needs some rest and another week at camp isn't promising any rest! I am praying for him to get better! I can't wait til he gets home on Wednesday!

Firday 6/20/08

Brad comes home today! I can't wait to see him! This morning mom and I are going to go look at some houses with Brad and I's realtor. She is really excited to help us look and I am glad she is coming along. Mom loves to shop! Even if it is for someone elses house! **Side Note: Mom you should be a proffessional shopper, they have those you know!** Yesterday was absolutely wonderful... the spa day was great! We had lunch at my new favorite place, SPOONS, and then went shopping! We both got shoes, so much fun and a couple of other things! Dinner was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection! I know I am partial because I work at Rick's, but our chef is the best! We started off with the Crabcake which is the dish that got chef the job! It was fabulous. Then we split the chophouse salad... my mom was in awe... she kept saying that is was the best Salad she had ever had! It was so cute! Then for the entrees, we had a filet carpetbagger and the cowboy ribeye. We both ate about half of our steaks and decided the rest needed to go home for Brad to have. Plus we had to save room for dessert. Pecan Pie, my mom's absolute most favorite pie in the world! But, she only likes how her momma made it, so I was a little nervous for chef and let him know that he had one tough critic on his hands. My mom loved it! We both enjoyed every last bite... I think she is convinced that chef has my grandma's Pecan Pie recipe!... All that being said, we were stuffed! we planned on watching a movie when we got home but went straight to be instead.

Thursday 6/19/08

Mom is here and we are getting pampered! We are starting our day off with massages, pedicures and she got me a facial... then later some shopping and dinner at Ricks... I can't wait! Sorry so short but I have to get ready for a very "important" appointment with my therapist... my massage therapist that is!!! Love it!

Wednesday 6/18/08

quick post! I had to come home last night after all. Russell was going to take care of the dogs for me and couldn't get in the front door. I figured I had left the dead bolt locked and since it was already 12:30 am and the dogs had been in their kennels since 4 that afternoon it was time to let them out. I came in the garage, obviously, let the dogs out, and come to find that the top dead bolt was indeed unlocked, poor Russ must have just had a hard time with the key. Anyways, off to work, Mom is coming today and I am so excited to see her!!!

Tuesday 6/17/08

OH MY GOSH!!!!! I hate being home alone... I can not wait until my mom gets here tomorrow to stay with me! Let me tell you a little bit about last night... I went to bed around 1o:30- 11 and was peacefully sleeping. The dogs who sleep in the room with us are all nestled in their beds and also sleeping... 1:30am Nala starts barking... I pass it off as a dream she was having at first but then she got up and went to our bedroom door and started barking even more. She has NEVER done this!!! She normally barks when someone comes to the door, but this bark was different, to me it was a protective bark, a warning bark for me! I panic, I had no idea what was going on, all I knew was that I was not opening that door! I immediately call 911 and whisper to them my address and that I think someone is in my house, they keep me calm and the police are on their way. I call Brad, he didn't answer on the first call but by the second he was awake and talking to me. He does his best to tell me that everything is going to be ok, but I can hear the panic in his voice as well. He is 4 hours away at a camp and his wife is at home alone with a stranger possibly in the house. He asks me if I got his shot gun? What, I don't know how to use that thing... finally the doorbell rings, the police are here. I let the dogs out first, as Brad advised me to do and I slowly peek out the door to my pitch black living room. I should mention that I am crying hystarically at this point. I make my way to the door and open it up to two nice police men. They informed me that everything is locked and secured including the windows. I ask them to come inside and check the rest of the house... still crying, I felt like I was about 3 years old asking my daddy to check under my bed for monsters. I didn't care! Better safe than sorry. They checked everything out and made sure I was ok before they left for their next heroic call of duty. Brad called Russell (his brother) to come over and stay the rest of the night with me. I finally stopped crying and went back to sleep. This morning when I talked to Brad, he told me that I nearly gave him a heart attack. I felt so bad, but he told me he would have done the same thing, except he would have had his shot gun ready. Tonight I will stay with my inlaws! safe and sound.

Monday 6/16/08

Brad left me today...Youth Camp begins... I am all by myself and I am kind of sad and really bored. I have been a huge bum today and can't really get myself motivated to do much else. The TV is on, but the shows are less than entertaining. I have watched a few episodes of a Baby Story and those are fun, but thats about it! Monday, Monday... how does the rest of that song go?

Ok, Ok, I will post again!

So what do you want to know? About the House Hunt? Brad and I? Work?

House Hunt: Well as some of you know, we did put an offer in on a house that we really liked. But after a couple of weeks and thinking a lot about it, we decided that we wanted to keep looking. Definitely was the best decision we made because we found THE House!!! It's perfect! It is an older model built in the late 70's and it has been completely redone on the inside. It has that perfect touch of character that we were hoping for. After getting all the numbers in on it and as we were about to make our offer, Bob (realtor) called and let us know that the owners had just accepted another offer. I cried, I was so dissapointed! So now where am I? Looking, and searching, and looking, and searching, and watching a ton of HGTV. It lifts my spirits about the houses that are out there, and it makes me believe that we could make any house our own... with just a little bit of TLC and MONEY! HAHA I know, I am laughing too! We are going to look again on Thursday and as Bob said, we are going to be sprinting to get it all in. Oh my I almost forgot, our lease is up at the end of July. The 31st to be exact and where is that manly, strong, furniture moving husband going to be? Where else but on a mission trip building houses for the homeless. Man is he going to laugh when he gets home and finds out the we are homeless! So the timeline is this... June 23, 2008 38 days until we must be out of the house and still no where to go. If you add in the fact that Brad will be gone on the 31st of July, we are really down to 33 days. God has impecable timing, I know, but seriously... we are cutting it close! If you find Brad, Nala, Bentley and I outside your front door, don't be surprised!!! We just need a place to stay for a little while!

More updates to come I promise!

I do have a funny story though...
Today at work I was bringing dishes back to the kitchen, and was not really paying attention to everything around me, because I was making sure my guest's salad was up in the food window. I was in good stride and making a smooth transition between tables... when all the sudden my butt hit the floor. OUCH! The dishes went flying! I must have thrown them a little bit because I was on the floor and they were still above my head. CRASH the plates hit right in front of me! I started laughing so hard as everyone around me tried to make sure I was ok and able to walk. Apparently what happened was there was a good bit of water on the floor and I slipped since I wasn't paying attention to the steps I was taking. Crazy non-slip shoes...why don't you work!!! I can hear it now... you are the grand prize winner on America's Funniest Home Videos... too bad the cameras weren't rolling!

Job, House, Lake...In a nut shell

Job:
Waitress: Rick's Chop House... In Training! Fine dining steak house in downtown McKinney, come visit me... bring your wallet with you! HAHA!

House:
Waiting: We have an offer in, they countered it, we will counter back... Right now, we are just seeking God's will in everything. We truly believe he has our best intrest in hand and when we seek his will we will find Him!

Lake:
Fun: WEBB family LAKE extravaganza! Cousin's, Aunts, newly weds and almost married all in one house for one whole weekend. Before Brad and I got married I didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with the Webb side of the family. So getting to spend the weekend with everyone was so much fun... Brian (Brad's dad) has two sisters Kay and Jane. Kay is married to Jim and they have two sons and a daughter who all sadly had to miss out on the weekend. Kay and Jim did a great job representing the whole family by making their way down from Nashville. Jane also has three kids two boys and a girl... See a pattern? Tim is the eldest and he is married to Leslie who is one of the most beautiful red heads I know and so much fun! Tim and Brad are far to similar for comfort... They have the same since of humor, same hobbies, same hair color and similar bodys. But most importantly when they get together the rediculousness in both of them comes out. They are the type that if one suggest to jump off a cliff because it would be hilarious the other would follow...Tricia is Jane's daughter and she is married to Jeff Durand. We stayed at Jeff's parents Lake house, Thanks Durand's! Jeff and Tricia have two beautiful children, with gorgeous white blond hair. Addi is 3 and Jackson is 1. So much fun! Tricia is a lot like Emily, both very family oriented and are always on top of keeping the fun going. They are both adventure seeking girls, that know how to hang tough with the boys. Then there is Kyle, Jane's youngest son... He is engaged to Melissa who is so sweet and makes the best bacon ever! Haha! We can't wait for their wedding!

Wakeboarding, tubing, waffles, hot dogs, cokes, jet skies and family time = a great weekend.

Brad and I had such a great time with everyone and we want to do it all again real soon! Love you all!

A new day!

A lot has happened in the Webb house hold over the past week. On Monday, we thought we were ready to buy a house. By Tuesday we were looking at a different one that we liked even better. On Thursday I "quit" my job and felt a taste of sweet freedom. That afternoon I started looking for something new! Friday I spent the day at the lake. Saturday, we found more houses... I think you get the picture!

So the update is this... We have found several houses that we have liked and are waiting for that moment, Seredipity, if you will, when we walk in to a house and know that it has to be! We are going to take another go around at some houses today... I am excited!

As for the Job situation, I want to teach! I am going through the steps of getting an alternative certification this summer and hope to start teaching in the fall. It might be hard to get a teaching job, so all your prayers are more than welcome! Luckily, I have a few contacts on some school boards that I hope can help me out. If you know anyone or are someone with a connection let me know!

Brad is crazy busy himself... Two-Five and a summer full of youth ministry are going to allow for God's strength to really show through him. Prayer is also welcome here! God is so good and we are ready for a big summer!

Speaking of Two-Five... we have some new shirt designs up on our website and you should definitely go check them out! http://www.25cloth.com

Out on the Prowl

Well here it is, the House Hunt update! We found the absolutely most perfect house we could ever ask for. It has everything we ever dreamed of. The master bedroom is like its own suite and it has a jacuzi tub.... The Kitchen is complete with lots of counter space, a double oven, granite counter tops and an island... Here it is!

The Master bath

The Beautiful Kitchen

Curb Appeal!

We were just about to sign the contract when suddenly a loud beeping noise scared the living daylights out of me and I awoke from this peaceful dream!

In so many words, we are still on the prowl... no house yet and as we discussed today, we are happy to take our time...

Why is this one of the Hardest things to Remember...

Jer 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jer 29:12
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
Jer 29:13
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Brad and I have been looking for a new house. We have been renting this past year and our lease is up in July..."God, lead us to the house of Your dreams for us! May we honor you as you guide us to and bless us in the perfect house."

Hopefully I will have more on the house hunt later!!!

Reviews Please....

Well it is that time of year again and all of our favorite shows are coming to an end! :( This is always a bitter sweet time for me as I really do look forward to watching my shows every week. However, I think it is necessary to take a break during the summer months to be outside as much as possible...

One Tree Hill: Lucas what are you thinking? You are coaching a great game and then you attack a student, forget about Lindsey, she is old news! I realize that the show is trying to make us all think that you and Brooke are going to hook back up again, but Peyton is your girl. Peyton + Lucas = One Tree Hill drama= The show stays exciting.... Plus, telling her how much you hate her and wishing she had never come back just proves your love to her!

American Idol: Was there really any doubt that there would be a David & David final two? You could tell by Sayesha's performance, (Which was great) that she knew the future too. I think she is great and will most likely get some kind of record deal, but the David combo was in the cards from the beginning. I didn't even get to watch as often as I normally do and I knew it was coming.

America's Next Top Model: I think the judges finally got it right! This was the first season where my favorite two girls were at the top. You had the classic Top Model with Anya and a beautiful full figured girl with Whitney. Both took great pictures, both are great with people and the camera loves every angle of them. However, when they showed the final cover girl shots I knew that Whitney was going to take the cake. I think I would have been happy with either one of them winning, but with Whitney being the under dog and the "normal" sized female, I was very happy she won.

Office: Toby leaves and Holly steps in... Hilarious, the whole scene where her and Micheal were taking apart the chair and talking in "Yoda" voices was so great! Kevin makes a perfect special person and he thinks he is going to B*NG Holly. Poor Jim, Phylis planned the perfect party for his engagement surprise and then it was ruined by the proposal to Angela. Pam needs the ring! But I am glad to see Dwight and Angela back together?

Grey's Anatomy: Meredith what is your problem? McDreamy wants you and you want him but he is with Rose. Make it happen already. Callie and Hann need to knock it off, I stopped watching ER because of the gay/lesbian content and I really don't want to stop watching Grey's. Yang stop cleaning and throwing a pitty party for yourself, you are better than that. Alex, what are you doing, She is married! And maybe try to believe and listen to Izzy when she tells you something. George, could not have created a better character for you. You are my favorite! Bailey, take some time off and save your marriage! I realize that if the producer used my suggestions here that there would no longer be drama in the show, so really i just don't want the gay/lesbian stuff on there.

How I met your Mother: All I can say is that this show is brilliant! I wonder when we are going to meet the mother?

Anyways thats all I have for now! Most of the above opinions are exaggerated and I am not a critic in the least sense. So, really I just enjoy watching the shows even if it is bad for me!

Three important things to remember...

1. Always kiss me goodnight (for Brad only)
2. Say I love you as much as possible (for spouse or loved one)
3. Laugh until it hurts...

These are three things that I like to remember to accomplish everyday/night! But the most important one is to talk with Jesus all day long, because without him, the joy that I find in my three important things quickly fades. I love you, Lord for the amazing ways you have blessed my life, from my family that helped raise me to my husband that keeps me strong. Thank you for the joy you bring me when my three most important things are remembered!

What are your three most important things? Let me know and then you can post it on your blog and ask all your friends too!

The Dillard's are finally hitched!

Dani and I were roommates, along with Caylin, and we always wondered when David would finally pop the question. Well he did last August! In fact it was the morning after my wedding when he took her up in a hot air balloon and asked her to be his wife... so sweet... I was awoken by an early text message the first morning of my honeymoon by the wonderful news. I screamed and then I cried because I wanted to be there with her to celebrate, but my honeymoon was slightly more important! Anyways, this past weekend Dani and David tied the knot in Isle of Palms, South Carolina. A beautiful beach wedding, with some of my favorite friends from Baylor it was the perfect little reunion and of course an amazing wedding! Everything that Dani plans goes beyond comparrison to anything else. She was our social chair for Chi O and the formal that she planned on the Suspension Bridge was nothing short of incredible. So I had pretty high expectations for her wedding and once again she blew me away. Our bridesmaid dresses were bright red and beautiful and our flowers were white with a blue ribon. The groomsmen had on tan suite with the most handsome turqouise/teal tie. The wedding started off with a bang when Dani made the entrance of a life time as her dad walked her down the beach and up to the pavillion (over looking the beach), there was not a dry eye insight. The reception was on the lawn underneath the tent, and their first dance was to the precious song by Jack Johnson, "Better Together." Brad and I had such a great time celebrating the newly weds with all our friends from school! Congratulations Dillard's, you two are absolutely beautiful people! The First DanceFlower Girl's Center Pieces at the reception Me and Caylin, Roommates for life!
